The Many Faces Of The divine feminine

In much of the literature I have read and in many discussions that I have been listening to lately, the Divine Feminine energy is only presented in one way.   It is presented as ‘soft’, ‘open’, ‘nurturing’, ‘receptive’ etc and all of this is true.   But this is only one face of the Divine Feminine.   And I see this showing up sometimes as an Archetype within people.   Often, I will hear ‘I am in my Divine Feminine energy’ and if someone is leaning into this Archetype and enjoying it (which is great, I have been there too!) they will shun and judge any kind of energy that is ‘Fierce’ or even ‘Angry’.

And as one of my beautiful teachers always says, “if you push away certain emotions such as Anger, it’s like saying that you will make music but with only certain musical notes…” (Thank you Cat Kabira Yoga).  I thought I understood this but over the last few weeks I feel as if I have been going through a transformation that has ushered in a deeper understanding of this.  When we become aware of injustice - anger should arise! And we can use this as fuel to make changes.

And there has been something in me over the last few weeks that is being triggered by the fact that the Divine Feminine is largely only presented in one way.  If the planet is to heal and real change is to happen being passive will not cut it.  And while the Divine Feminine is never labelled as passive directly, as a collective group -  all of the words which are used to describe the Divine Feminine Energy can be misconstrued as passive.  And SHE IS NEVER PASSIVE ABOUT INJUSTICE! The Divine Feminine energy is ‘Fierce’ and she calls it out!.

We can see this energy depicted by Kali (a Hindu goddess of death, time and transformation) who represents Divine Feminine Rage.   This Rage is here to destroy beliefs, illusions, structures which are not in alignment with ‘Truth’ and ‘Compassion’.

This form of rage serves a divine purpose.   As a collective we can no longer just look away at what is happening on our planet and to our planet.  If there is to be change – there must be Divine Rage.   This Rage is not to be spewed out in a chaotic way (which is what gives misdirected anger such a bad rap), it should be used as fuel.  Fuel to do something about it.  Feeling the Rage of the injustice and using that energy wisely and in a directed way brings about change.

On a personal level we will know when we are in Kali energy as things that are no longer in alignment will fall away.  Old beliefs, illusions about how we have seen ourselves in the past will all be thrown into her fire so that we can immerge stronger and brighter and in greater alignment with our power.   To embrace our power fully we need to embrace all of ourselves.  Not just the nice parts that we wish to show everybody but also our shadow.  And this too is the energy of Kali.  I will be writing more about ‘Shadow Work’ in upcoming posts because it is one of the greatest gifts we can give ourselves as it supports us in embracing and using all of the energy that we brought here during this incarnation.   So, if you would like to know more about shadow work, shamanic energy healing, hypnotherapy you can read more about what I do by browsing through our website.
